Training
The main goal of our training is to teach the skilled and safe use of fiber composites. We teach you the basics of proper maintenance and repair of composite structures. In addition, the lightning protection system of the rotor blades, its gauging and apropriate repair techniques will be explained.
In the training you will receive all the necessary skills about:
- general knowledge about fiber composites
- working procedures for repairs of FRP structures
- special procedures for repairs of rotor blades
- lightning protection systems on rotor blades of wind turbines
In addition to the theoretical bases the following practical exercises take place:
- damage detection and evaluation (visual inspection)
- proper use of repair manuals and laminate plans
- inspection of rotor blades with testing and inspection list
- manufacture of scarfs on different laminate structures
- standard procedures for repairs of sandwich structures
- laminating with pre-laminates, hand laminates and vacuum process
- gauging of lightning protection systems on rotor blades, typical damages of lightning protection systems

Trainings are available at our facilities in Würselen (Aachen/Germany) or optional on-site at your company.
At the end of the training a theoretical exam certificates your knowledge.
